The War of Art, Steven Pressfield (2002)

A kick in the pants. A tough-love lecture from a no-bullshit grizzled vet. Pressfield personifies as Resistance whatever is stopping you from doing the work you most want to do, and urges you to fight it with all you've got. He goes a bit far in suggesting that Resistance is responsible for all our ills, individual and collective. He makes some problematic claims, and takes an unexpected religious turn. But i read this book quickly and forgivingly, with the laudible aim in mind. I'm glad i did.
